We aim to foster friendship and fellowship among our members, friends and well-wishers.

Towards this end, we arrange at least one social event, the Vilan Get-together, in London each Year. The first event was in July 2012; subsequent events were in August 2013, November 2014, June 2015, June 2016, July 2017, June 2018 and July 2019. Year 2020 was the 130^th Anniversary of our Church - on 24^th June, the feast day of the patron Saint. A special social event planned for 27th June had to be cancelled due to COVID-19 lockdown regulations. For the same reason, the 10th annual Get-together planned for Saturday 11th September 2021 had to be cancelled also.

However, the events in 2020 and 2021 were not abandoned entirely; instead of the usual Get-together and Dinner at St George’s RC Church Parish Hall, Wembley, a modest Get-together of VSL officers and few members by telephone contact did take place on the afore-mentioned dates. The 12^th annual Get-together will take place on 24^th June 2023 at our usual venue, St George’s RC Church Parish Hall, Wembley.

The main purpose of vilan Get-together is not fundraising but to bring together the members and their friends and well-wishers.
